The Chubbuck clinic provides perhaps the broadest array of medical services outside the hospital. We are identified as an urgent care because all walk in patients are welcome. However, we are much more than an urgent care. The Chubbuck clinic was established in late 2008 as the primary clinical site for Dr. Willey. The Chubbuck office is also recognized as one of Pocatello's most accessible and convenient urgent care centers. In addition to walk in urgent care, we serve as the primary care physician's office for as many as 50% of our patients, and they appreciate the fact they can be seen when they get sick. There is seldom a wait longer than 15-20 minutes to be seen and the care is spectacular.
We spend much of out time managing more chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, weight loss, hormone imbalances in both men and women. If patients have a chronic medical problem and struggle with weight gain or obesity, they are encouraged to participate in our Optimal Health Program where in they get nutritional counseling, weight loss guidance, access to an interactive website designed to improved their health, all in addition to traditional medical management. All these services are provided as part of the physician's office visit.
Perhaps this is one of the reasons, Physicians Immediate Care Centers have been award Pocatello's best medical clinic for three consecutive years via the People's Choice Award issued through the Idaho State Journal! The Chubbuck clinic accepts nearly all insurance companies and has adopted a Quick PICC Discount Membership for those who do not have insurance and are willing to pay cash for health related services.
The Chubbuck office has digital x-ray that can produce the highest quality digital films in just minutes, and if needed, these radiographic studies can be be sent electronically to the local radiologist for a second opinion or review. The clinic is fully equipped with an in-house surgical suite that supports simple and complex laceration repair with all forms and styles of sutures, Dermabond©, casting, splinting, skin biopsies, initial wound management, and other simple surgical procedures. We have a limited onsite lab for testing urine samples, blood sugars, A1c, rapid strep and flu testing, pulmonary function testing, audiograms, etc.
The Chubbuck clinic also servers as a preferred workers compensation medical clinic and for many of Pocatello's and Chubbuck's employers work related medical needs. We complete drug screens, both observed and DOT compliant, DOT physicals, pre-employment and pre-insurance exams, and a host of other essential medical needs often requested by industrial employers.
